Give a Great Gift for Your Daughter's Sweet Sixteen: A Designer Purse!

If you're the parent or even the grandparent of a young lady who's about to reach her sweet sixteen, then you absolutely need a great gift! Sixteen year old girls aren't content with Barbie dolls anymore, they're ready for more grown up presents! Clothes and cash are always well-recieved, but if you're looking for something a little more special, then why not get a designer purse?

I can still remember when I turned sixteen, my mother presented me with an Etienne Aigner purse similar the one she'd always carried around. After tearing through the paper and opening the box, I happily discovered my gorgeous new leather Aigner purse! Almost fifteen years later, I still have my Aigner purse, and it's held up quite well! While Aigner is considered a designer purse, it's definitely on the lower end of the spectrum when it comes to price.

Some designers like Louis Vuitton, Prada, Gucci and Fendi offer extravagantly priced purses from their range. However, if you want a designer purse that is beautiful, trendy, and crafted by masters from the finest materials, you can't go wrong with one of these. Can you imagine the look on your teenager's face when she discovers that her new designer purse is the same one her favorite actress carries?

You may feel ill at ease purchasing your sixteen year old a designer purse that costs hundreds of dollars or even thousands. And I don't blame you! Teenagers aren't always the most responsible people...I'm not knocking them, but we all know that a distracted teen girl may accidentally leave her bag vulnerable to theft while chatting with a friend. I know I had a few purses swiped due to my own carelessness when I was a teenager! Because these bags are so expensive, theives are especially attracted to them.

What designer purse alternative can a parent turn to then? How about a designer purse that's not exactly designer? “Huh?” you said? My teen sister was given a Louis Vuitton purse as a gift last Christmas, or at least what appeared to be one. Turns out her purse was a replica. I didn't figure our Aunt Filda could afford a $2000 purse! Regardless, my sister carries her “Louis” with great pride. Honestly, it really does look like the real thing and could easily fool a classroom full of teen girls! My sister is now the envy of her friends, thanks to her “designer” purse!
